Johnathan signed on with Earth Design in December 2007 after graduating from Brevard College in May 2007 with a B.S. in Ecology and minors in chemistry and geology. He grew up in western North Carolina and developed a love for nature early in life. His passion for the pristine outdoors inspired a career path that would focus on conservation and restoration. While at Brevard College, Johnathan collaborated and assisted in the restoration project of King's Creek, a $2 million effort, to restore King's Creek to a more natural state.

His specialties at Earth Design include ecological, stream, and shore-line restoration with emphasis on ecological function within a human context.

While not working with nature, Johnathan likes to enjoy it. He is an avid mountain biker who helped found a collegiate mountain biking team at Brevard College, as well as a cyclist and backpacker. You can usually find Johnathan on the trails in any of the local state and national forests.
